Job summary

Michael Page International (Hong Kong) Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an Investment Associate (Private Equity) to evaluate, structure and execute complex investments. You will conduct deep financial modeling, valuation, and risk assessment for public and private assets, and support deal structuring and execution across the full investment lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in investment roles, mandatory buy-side experience, and excellent English communication to articulate investment

Qualifications

• A degree in finance, economics, business administration or related field.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• 2–3 years in investment roles, preferably investment banking.
• Mandatory buy-side experience (hedge fund/private equity/special situations).
• Clear ability to analyze and execute complex transactions and articulate theses in English.

Responsibilities

Job Description

As an Investment Associate (Private Equity), your main responsibilities will include:

• Evaluate, structure, and execute complex investment transactions, including special situations such as PIPEs, convertible bonds (CBs), and other structured or hybrid instruments
• Conduct deep fundamental analysis, financial modeling, valuation, and downside risk assessment for public and private investments
• Participate in deal structuring, terms negotiation, and execution across the full investment lifecycle
• Monitor portfolio positions, assess ongoing risks and catalysts, and provide investment recommendations to the investment committee
• Work closely with internal teams and external counterparties, including banks, legal advisors, and management teams

The Successful Applicant

A successful Investment Associate (Private Equity) should have:

• A degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field from reputable insitution.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in investment roles, preferrable investment banking.
• Mandatory buy-side experience (e.g., hedge fund, private credit, private equity, special situations, FoF, or long/short public equities)
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and execute complex transactions, particularly special situation investments: PIPEs and convertible bonds
• Excellent communication skills in English; ability to clearly articulate investment theses
