Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Hong Kong is offering an internship as an AI Engineer. You will create AI-powered tools to automate workflows, automate daily routines, and enhance intranet search.

You’ll work with an HPC farm to run and monitor computing jobs and help document lab demos involving robotics and sensors. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s in CS/CE/EE/Mechatronics, with strong Python, AI tool knowledge, and English/Chinese language skills.

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in CS/CE/EE/Mechatronics or related field.
• Familiar with AI/LLM tools and able to build a working application independently.
• Proficient in Python, scripting, debugging and Git.

Internship - AI Engineer

Your role

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Create AI-powered tools to automate workflows through ContextEngineering
• Daily routine automation.
• Advanced intranet search.
• Facilitate the computation process together with HPC farm —for example, to submit and monitor computing jobs, automate data-processingworkflows, and retrieve results.
• etc.
• Build and maintain lab demos - develop and document software-hardware demonstrations, by integratingrobotics and sensors.

Work Arrangement

• Face-to-face interview and onsite work in the Hong Kong office are required.
• Internship duration can be 6 months to 2 years, subject to mutual agreement.
• During semester: Flexible working hours per working day, up to 17 hours per week. (subject to mutual agreement)
• Between semesters: 9 working hours perworking day, 5 days per week.

Your profile

Educational Background:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in ComputerScience, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, ElectricalEngineering, Mechatronics, or a related field

Technical Skills (Required):

• Familiarity with AI/LLM tools (e.g., OpenAI API, GitHub Copilot, RAG,MCP, prompt engineering, or local models), able to build a workingapplication independently
• Python programming / equivalent language (solid working proficiency)
• Comfortable with scripting, automation, debugging, and Git

Technical Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience with PSoC, Arduino, semiconductor evaluation boards, or sensor products
• Experience with Selenium, data pipelines, python-pptx, Officeautomation, or similar productivity scripting
• Basic electronics and hardware troubleshooting experience (sensors,board wiring, microcontrollers, or robotics)

Work Experience:

• Prior project work or internship involving API integration, toolbuilding, AI/ML applications
• Any personal or academic projects using AI/ML tools for practical applications
• Language Requirements:
• Fluent in English and Chinese (written and spoken)

Soft Skills:

• Self-starter who can turn a vague task into a working prototype with measurable acceptance criteria
• Hands-on problem-solver willing to debug issues
• Good communicator able to work with a team
• Organised and able to document reproducible setups, dependencies, andknown limitations
