Woods Bagot Hong Kong Studio seeks an Interior Designer – Workplace Interiors with 4-6 years of post-graduate experience to support Project Leaders in delivering major global workplace interior projects.

You will assist across conceptual design to delivery, create client presentations, coordinate with suppliers and contractors, and research design challenges to ensure alignment with client goals and project timelines.

Qualifications

  • Degree holder in interior design or a related field.
  • 4-6 years’ post-graduation experience in workplace, hospitality, or interior fit-out projects (from design through to site implementation) is preferred.
  • Practical experience coordinating with suppliers on materials, finishes and specifications, and with contractors.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and, where required, autonomously.
  • Strong design and conceptual flair; ability to manage deadlines with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • To assist the Project Designers from the Conceptual Design process through to the Design Development process, including fit-out coordination and execution where applicable.
  • To take an active role in the development of design solutions, including their integration & maintenance throughout the subsequent design and project delivery stages.
  • Development of conceptual design solutions to the design problems agreed with the clients, together with assisting the Project Leader in the presentation of those solutions.
  • Prepare presentations (3D, 2D, mock-ups, and renderings) for clients.
  • Support fit-out documentation, detailing, and coordination with contractors, consultants, and suppliers on specifications to ensure design intent is achieved.
  • Undertaking thorough research of the client’s needs and requirements, as well as similar or related projects, to gain a full understanding of design challenges and parameters.
  • Act as a team player who is a quick learner, energetic, and creative.

About the role

To support the continuous growth and expansion of Woods Bagot in Asia, our Hong Kong Studio is seeking high-calibre candidates to join the project team in delivering several significant global Workplace Interior projects. In this role, you will primarily support the Project Leader/Designer in the production and delivery of projects.

Requirements
  • Degree holder in interior design or a related field from a recognized institution
  • 4-6 years’ post-graduation experience in workplace, hospitality, or interior fit-out projects (from design through to site implementation) is preferred
  • Practical experience in coordinating with suppliers on materials, finishes, and specifications, as well as working with contractors, is an advantage
  • Ability to work as part of a team and, where required, autonomously
  • Strong design and conceptual flair
  • Ability to work with competing deadlines, with a proven capacity to manage workflow and prioritize tasks effectively
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Exceptional software skills in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Rhino, InDesign, and PowerPoint (Revit, Lumion, Enscape are advantages)
