Job summary

The English Schools Foundation (ESF) in Hong Kong invites expressions of interest for a Primary School Learning Support Teacher. The role focuses on specialised instruction, assessment, and personalised plans to support students with diverse needs within ESF’s inclusive classrooms.

You will collaborate with class teachers, run small group sessions, and help students develop independence and confidence across the school’s IB-aligned programme.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor’s degree in any subject with a Postgraduate degree.
• Certificate/Diploma in Education (PGCE/PGDE).
• An understanding of the PYP and the key underpinnings of the curriculum frameworks is advantageous.
• Newly qualified teachers or teaching experience within a recognised educational institute.
• iPGCE (assessment only) does not qualify for Teacher Registration status from the Hong Kong Education Bureau.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialised instruction, skills training and individualised support to students with diverse learning needs and abilities.
• Assess students and develop personalised education plans.
• Facilitate small group learning sessions.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to foster an inclusive classroom environment.
