Job summary

Pinpoint Asia is representing an established quantitative investment firm seeking a senior software engineer to own and evolve the live trading platform. You will work at the intersection of quantitative research and live market execution, ensuring low-latency, reliable infrastructure across equities and futures.

You will collaborate with researchers to productize models and maintain end-to-end platform health, with strong emphasis on Linux systems, tooling, and automated deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development in buy-side, proprietary trading, or elite market making.
• Hands-on background in equities or futures execution systems.
• Strong programming in C++ with scripting or Python with Go/Java/Rust/C#.
• Deep understanding of Linux systems, production troubleshooting.
• Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese).

Responsibilities

• Own the stability, performance, and evolution of the live electronic trading platform.
• Collaborate with Quant Research to move models from prototype to live execution.
• Manage live platform reliability across equity and futures markets.
• Triage real-time incidents and perform emergency troubleshooting during market hours.
• Tune infrastructure: Linux kernel, storage, networking, and hardware resources.
• Build internal developer tools, health checks, and CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
