Job summary

Island School in Hong Kong, part of The English Schools Foundation (ESF), seeks a skilled Teacher of Individual Learning Needs to support students with learning diversities starting August 2027. You will teach modified subjects, literacy, numeracy, and interventions, with opportunities to teach mainstream classes depending on experience.

The ILN Faculty collaborates with Counsellors, Exams Admin, and House heads to promote UDL strategies, admissions assessments, and student transitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or a subject with PGCE.
• 1–3 years’ teaching experience in a recognised educational organisation.
• Ability to plan, implement and assess programmes meeting individual learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan lessons to meet students' individual learning needs and progression.
• Utilise diverse strategies for teaching, learning, and classroom management.
• Collaborate with school community to support student development and welfare.
• Contribute to policy development and school priorities.
• Support universal design for learning in classrooms.
• Lead/participate in professional development and extracurricular activities.
