Job summary

Jobtailor in Hong Kong seeks an early-career valuation professional to provide advisory services to the alternative investment community. You will design financial models for DCF, market multiples, and option pricing while working across industries and geographies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics or MBA.
• Within 2 years of valuation-related work experience in financial services.
• Knowledge of private equity industry preferred
• CFA (or Level 2 or Level 3 candidate) preferred
• Ability to construct and review financial models such as discounted cash flow, comparable company models and option pricing models etc.
• Good understanding of financial statements, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques
• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese, including Mandarin
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as attention to details
• Ability to multitask and capacity to work flexible hours around critical due dates
• Ability to manage confidential, sensitive information
• Knowledge of software packages including MS Word, Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Provide advisory services to the alternative investment community.
• Design financial models for DCF, market multiples, and option pricing analyses.
• Perform valuation analyses on illiquid investments across industries and geographies.
• Assist with interviewing clients to gather data for engagements.
• Build and maintain client relationships with management.
• Report and present analyses and conclusions in written reports.
• Attend industry events to broaden knowledge in the alternative asset industry
