Job summary

Alibaba Group in Hong Kong seeks a seasoned Compliance Leader to act as designated MLRO and oversee the regulatory compliance framework across the MSO and related business lines. You will monitor HK AML/CFT requirements, review KYC/CDD/EDD, and provide practical guidance to operations, product, and finance teams.

You will prepare regulatory filings, stay ahead of evolving rules, and escalate material risks to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
• Professional AML/CFT qualifications preferred (CAMS, ICA Diploma, Cert in AML, ACCA, CPA).
• 6–8 years in financial compliance, regulatory advisory or AML/CFT roles in HK.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison with HK customs/regulatory bodies on licensing and compliance.
• Act as Compliance Officer and oversee regulatory framework.
• Oversee AML/CFT compliance with HK ordinances; prepare regulatory filings.
• Provide regulatory advice to business, product, operations, and finance teams.
• Monitor developments and identify gaps with remediation plans.
• Provide updates to senior management and governance committees.
• Regional AML/CFT oversight across lending and new entities.
• Review KYC/CDD/EDD, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring.
