Job summary

Michael Page International (HK) Ltd in Hong Kong seeks a leader to guide a 10-person quant research and trading team. You will mentor, hire, and drive alpha generation and systematic strategies across global markets.

You will oversee the full research lifecycle from idea generation to production deployment, reviewing models and backtests to ensure robustness. Fluent English is required; Cantonese/Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in a quantitative discipline.
• Proven track record in quantitative research or alpha generation.
• Independent idea generation and profitability of trading ideas.
• Strong modeling, ML, portfolio construction, and risk management.
• Advanced Python, backtesting frameworks, and production trading systems.
• Experience leading and developing quant researchers.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of ~10 quantitative coding and trading team members.
• Drive generation, evaluation, and implementation of alpha signals and systematic strategies.
• Oversee the full research lifecycle from idea generation to production deployment.
• Review and challenge models, backtests, and code quality for robustness.
• Contribute to research and coding initiatives when required.
• Refine and enhance trading strategies to improve risk-adjusted returns.
• Set research priorities, allocate resources, manage multiple projects.
• Collaborate with CIO and Founders on portfolio construction and risk decisions.
• Lead recruitment and build a world-class quant research organization.
