Job summary

ACCA Careers in Hong Kong seeks a senior finance professional to lead end-to-end financial closing, group consolidation and statutory accounting across banking entities. You will ensure strict HKFRS compliance and act as primary liaison with external auditors and regulators.

You will drive internal policy updates, oversee audits, and spearhead process improvements and automation for core ledgers, reporting to the CFO. Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline.
• CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification mandatory.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in financial reporting, statutory accounting, or audit within a commercial bank or financial institution, with 3–5 years in a managerial capacity.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the end-to-end financial closing, group consolidation, and statutory accounting workflows across all banking entities.
• Lead the preparation and review of annual and interim financial statements, ensuring strict adherence to HKFRS standards and statutory requirements.
• Formulate, review, and update internal financial accounting policies, ensuring alignment with newly issued accounting standards and banking regulations.
• Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory inspectors during annual statutory audit cycles and examinations.
• Drive continuous process optimisation initiatives to streamline accounting operations and lead financial automation projects for core ledger systems.
