Reinsurance Group of America, Incorporated is seeking a Director of Digital Underwriting to lead the delivery, adoption, and performance of digital underwriting solutions across Hong Kong and Singapore. The role combines underwriting expertise with strong execution leadership to implement scalable solutions that improve efficiency, automation, and client experience.

The position serves as the owner for implementation success, client adoption, and continuous improvement of digital underwriting.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Business, Data Analytics, Medical Science, or related discipline.
10+ years of life and health underwriting, including digital underwriting, automated underwriting, or underwriting transformation.
Proven success leading digital underwriting initiatives and delivering measurable business outcomes.
Deep knowledge of life and health underwriting, risk assessment, and automated decision-making frameworks.
Expertise in digital underwriting platforms, rules engines, workflows, and straight-through processing.
Strong ability to translate guidelines and product features into digital solutions and business rules.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery, implementation, adoption, and optimization of digital underwriting solutions.
Partner with Business Development to translate requirements into scalable digital solutions.
Serve as digital underwriting SME during engagements, training, and reviews.
Own underwriting workstream for design, configuration, testing, deployment, and enhancements.
Collaborate with actuarial, product, technology, data, risk, and operations teams to deliver compliant solutions.
Monitor performance with data-driven insights to improve adoption and efficiency.
Drive automation and reduce referrals while maintaining underwriting quality.
Establish metrics, reporting, and governance for adoption and client outcomes.
Lead issue resolution and root-cause analysis for stability and risk management.
Coach and develop team members and foster accountability and innovation.
