Job summary

Arup in Hong Kong is seeking a Graduate Engineer/Consultant - Sustainability to join our Climate & Sustainability team for the 2027 intake. You will contribute to climate, sustainability, and decarbonization projects across buildings and infrastructure, applying industry tools and delivering client-facing reports.

We value fresh graduates 0–2 years’ experience, fluent English, and an interest in Rhino, Ansys Fluent, Excel, PowerPoint, AI and ArcGIS. Mandarin/Cantonese is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering related field (Mechanical Engineering, Climate & Sustainability Science, Data Science/Engineering, Environmental Engineering).
• 0–2 years of full-time experience in a similar role or recent graduates.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin or Cantonese is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of climate, sustainability, and decarbonization projects across buildings and infrastructure.
• Conduct sustainability, carbon, energy, and climate-related assessments using industry-leading tools.
• Research emerging technologies, policies, and best practices to support client solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, sustainability strategies, presentations, and other client-facing deliverables.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve sustainability challenges.

Our Climate & Sustainability team is looking for a Graduate Engineer/Consultant - Sustainability to join us in Hong Kong.

Is this role right for you?

• Minimum Bachelor's level degree in Mechanical Engineering , or Climate & Sustainability Science, Data Science / Engineering, Environmental Engineering.
• Graduated recently, or be on track to complete your most recent relevant degree before your employment start date.
• An interest in Rhino, Ansys Fluent, Excel, Powerpoint, AI, ArcGIS.
• Fluent in English. Proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is an advantage.
• No more than 2 years of full-time experience in a comparable role.
• Full working rights in the country of application.
