Qualifications

• Understanding of tax operations, including daily transaction review, tax calculation, reconciliation, regulatory reporting, payment and maintenance of supporting evidence.
• Knowledge of Hong Kong Stamp Duty would be a plus.
• Experience in financial services operations or a control-focused environment.
• Ability to identify risk, analyze data, document conclusions and elevate material issues clearly and promptly.
• Strong attention to detail with complete audit trails and high-quality control evidence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at different levels and explain complex issues clearly.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions and locations while maintaining ownership of deliverables.
• Experience using AI, Power BI and other automation tools to analyze data and support process improvements.
• Understanding of protecting client assets and confidential information and complying with policies.
• Ability to support change initiatives and contribute to automation opportunities.
• Culture carrier with integrity and sound judgment.
• At least 2 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected.

Responsibilities

• Execute Hong Kong Stamp Duty and other operational tax processes accurately within deadlines.
• Investigate exceptions, resolve breaks and escalate issues promptly.
• Perform controls per procedures and risk framework.
• Identify risks and contribute to process improvements.
• Support impact assessments for tax regulatory changes and new products.
• Maintain clear procedures, maps, and audit trails.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver timely outcomes.
• Respond to stakeholder queries with evidence-based analysis.
• Participate in projects and automation initiatives, including testing and post-implementation review.
