Job summary

FortisHill Consulting seeks a Junior Investment Analyst in Hong Kong to support Portfolio Managers in daily client portfolio management and trade execution across global markets. You will work on discretionary and advisory mandates, helping with portfolio analysis, risk monitoring and client servicing in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 0–3 years of experience in asset management or related fields, strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and an interest in valuation, macro research

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates with strong academics and internships are welcome.
• Strong interest in financial markets and willingness to develop across asset classes.
• Excellent numerical and analytical capabilities with the ability to translate analysis into insights.

Responsibilities

• Support daily management of client portfolios, including discretionary and advisory mandates across custodian/private banking platforms.
• Assist with trade execution and end-to-end workflow across asset classes (equities, FI, FX, funds, structured products, derivatives).
• Liaise with banks, brokers and product specialists to obtain quotes and ensure accurate trade booking and settlement.
• Monitor portfolio positions, allocation, risk metrics and exposures; highlight material changes to Portfolio Managers.
• Prepare portfolio performance analyses, P&L, exposure reports and summaries for client meetings and internal reviews.
• Support idea generation through macro research, company/sector analysis and screening of products.
• Conduct fundamental research, modelling and scenario analyses to assess investment opportunities.
• Evaluate fixed income, structured products and other investment solutions from private banks and counterparties.
• Present investment proposals, market updates and periodic reviews for clients.
• Maintain investment databases and reporting tools; ensure data accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist in developing internal tools and dashboards using Excel, VBA or Python.
