Job summary

Marine Resources in Hong Kong seeks a Global Technical Director to lead the technical strategy, product development, and engineering direction for a range of aluminium-hull vessels. You will own design from concept to delivery, ensuring compliance with regulations and manufacturability, while coordinating with engineering, production, and commercial teams.

The role is based in Hong Kong with relocation required, offering international exposure and the opportunity to influence a growing marine

Qualifications

• Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering and relevant marine vessel experience.
• Proven track record delivering aluminium workboats, RIBs, or patrol craft.
• Strong knowledge of government/professional procurement and tenders.
• Experience managing product development from concept to production.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and familiarity with NPD processes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical strategy and long‑term development of patrol craft and RIB range.
• Define hull structures, propulsion, electrical, deck equipment, and configurations.
• Provide technical leadership across design and engineering activities.
• Review and approve engineering solutions, drawings, and structural designs.
• Prepare tenders, specifications, compliance docs, and technical submissions.
• Ensure product compliance with standards and certification requirements.
• Collaborate with production to ensure manufacturability and cost targets.
• Act as primary technical representative for naval, coast guard, and gov customers.
• Support demonstrations, sea trials, and customer acceptance activities.
