Job summary

King Deux Search & Consulting is seeking a Head of Risk to govern global risk appetite, oversee capital allocation, and guide strategy across Greater China and international offices. You will lead the risk team, set limits, and partner with C-suite on expansion plans while interfacing with regulators such as the SFC.

The role requires strong quantitative modeling skills, front-office mindset, and fluency in English plus Cantonese/Mandarin. Experience in AI-enabled risk solutions is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in markets/trading risk with leadership experience.
• Hands-on in live trading book limits, VaR and ES frameworks.
• Front-office mindset with trading or front-office exposure preferred.
• Experience navigating multi-jurisdictional risk and regulators (SFC).
• Strong quantitative risk modeling and familiarity with AI in risk.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics; CFA/FRM/PRM preferred.
• Excellent English, Cantonese or Mandarin communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain global risk appetite framework and advise Board/C-suite.
• Review trading limits, new strategies, and product launches for risk controls.
• Scale and lead a global risk team across regional offices.
• Partner with senior leadership on expansion, capital allocation, initiatives.
• Act as risk liaison with Hong Kong SFC and other regulators.
• Design and refine VaR, ES, stress tests, and scenario analyses.
• Champion AI-driven risk monitoring, analytics, and reporting.
• Maintain authority to pause or adjust trading during breaches.
• Provide constructive risk insights at Board and EC meetings.
