Job summary

Sia is seeking a data science & analytics consultant based in Hong Kong. In this role, you will work on local and international client projects focused on data acquisition, model building, and results presentation.

As part of a global team, you'll identify relevant data sources, analyze trends, and propose solutions. Ideal candidates have 1-3 years’ experience, a related bachelor’s degree, and fluency in English and Chinese.

The position offers opportunities to develop expertise and work with top-tier clients in various industries.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ experience as a Data Scientist or Data analyst (ideally in consulting).
• At least a bachelor’s or equivalent degree in a relevant area of study from a top university.
• Good skills in Python and ideally another analytical language (e.g., R, SQL).
• Problem-solving aptitude and strong business acumen.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Fluency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is a must.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, R-shiny) is a strong plus.
• Good understanding of statistical techniques and concepts is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning techniques or optimization is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify, acquire, process and explore relevant data sources.
• Analyze large amounts of structured and unstructured information to discover trends and patterns.
• Use data analytics and data science expertise to derive valuable insights from datasets.
• Communicate through multiple mediums: presentations, dashboards, datasets, bots and more.
• Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges.
• Collaborate with engineering and product development teams.
• Contribute to projects and deliverables, including models, algorithms, datasets, and services.
• Evangelize data science by contributing to training and business development initiatives.
