Job summary

Hassell is seeking a Business Development & Engagement Lead to shape client experiences across our international studios. Based in Hong Kong, you’ll collaborate with leaders in Asia, the UK and the Middle East to position Hassell at the center of conversations that matter.

This role goes beyond traditional marketing, blending strategy, relationship-building and hands-on delivery to grow the firm’s client base and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in business development and/or marketing within Hong Kong or the wider Asian market.
• Strong commercial thinking and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• A passion for creating engaging client experiences and thought leadership.
• Experience working across different cultures, regions and time zones.
• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
• The confidence to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
• Experience working with teams in the United Kingdom or Middle East would be highly regarded, but isn’t essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead a coordinated client engagement strategy that strengthens relationships beyond individual pursuits.
• Work with sector leaders, business development teams and marketing specialists to drive programs.
• Identify industry events, partnerships and organisations that matter most.
• Align marketing activity with strategic business priorities and major pursuits.
• Bring together teams across Asia, the UK and the Middle East to share insights and opportunities.
• Lead and mentor our Shanghai-based marketing team member.
• Embed a truly client-first approach across our international business.
• Drive client feedback (voice of the client).
