Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is seeking an AI Business Solutions & Innovation Manager to join their Information Technology team. Based at our Corporate Office in London or Hong Kong, the role designs, codes, and delivers bespoke applications that solve real business problems across the organisation.

The role requires hands-on development, GenAI expertise, and a strong balance of technical craft with commercial judgment to drive in-house innovation and measurable value.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands-on development experience.
• Hands-on experience building and shipping applications.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and GenAI application development.
• Strong coding capability across the stack (Python or similar).
• Experience integrating APIs, data sources, and third-party services.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business teams to identify problems solvable by bespoke applications and tools.
• Design, build, and deliver end-to-end applications from concept to production.
• Write, test, and maintain clean code using AI-assisted development tools.
• Integrate applications with existing systems and data sources.
• Translate requirements into technical solutions and prototype iteratively.
• Develop GenAI-powered features delivering measurable business value.
• Own the technical delivery lifecycle including version control, testing, deployment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to scope problems and ensure adoption.
• Maintain and enhance applications post-launch and respond to feedback.
• Stay updated on GenAI trends and emerging technologies.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and ethics.
