Job summary

China Merchants Securities International Company Limited (CMSI) seeks an experienced FX Institutional Trader for the Fixed Income Department in Hong Kong. The role focuses on executing FX trades, formulating strategies, and driving revenue growth while expanding overseas client coverage and enhancing product innovation.

The candidate should have a Master’s degree in Finance/Economics/STEM, 3+ years FX trading experience, and relevant licenses.

Qualifications

Master’s degree or above in Finance, Economics or STEM.
Solid knowledge of FX spot, swaps, options and trading mechanics; familiarity with institutional clients and cross‑border rules.
Minimum 3 years FX trading experience at large Chinese‑funded or foreign financial institutions; revenue generation capability.
SFC Type 1/4/9 license, CFA/FRM/PMP advantageous.

Responsibilities

Execute FX transactions under authorization and implement trading strategies.
Expand FX product range and design FX structured products for institutional clients.
Onboard new counterparties to support trading activities and expand overseas client coverage.
Optimize trading workflows and upgrade systems for growth and efficiency.
Facilitate onshore‑offshore collaboration and cross‑border business execution; ensure compliance with SFC/HKMA guidelines.
