Job summary

The English Schools Foundation’s Quarry Bay School in Hong Kong is seeking a full-time Educational Assistant to support student learning alongside class teachers and to help prepare teaching resources.

You will assist students in academic and social development, with about 80% of contact time spent with students, and you should bring fluency in English, enthusiasm, and prior school or early childhood experience.

Qualifications

• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Applicants with previous school experience preferred.
• Enthusiastic and willing to give full support to the teaching team within the school.
• Experience working with young children in primary school or kindergarten contexts would be an advantage.
• Candidates with special educational needs expertise or experience would also be highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support student learning by working alongside class teachers and assisting with the preparation of resources.
• Support students inside and outside classroom, including camps, educational visits and school activities.
• Assist students in educational and social development.
• As a guideline, 80% of contact time should be spent with students.
