Job summary

GIL (HK) Limited is seeking a Software Developer / Full-Stack Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain core business systems and data-driven applications in Hong Kong. You will work across front-end and back-end layers, translating business requirements into scalable software using modern frameworks.

You will collaborate with product and engineering teams, implement RESTful APIs with FastAPI or Spring Boot, build responsive UI with React, Vue, or Angular, and optimize databases like

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in CS/SE/IT or related field.
• Front-end frameworks: React, Vue, or Angular; capable of independent front-end development.
• Back-end frameworks: FastAPI, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud; API design and engineering practices.
• Database: PostgreSQL or MySQL; understands design and optimization.
• RESTful/microservices and cloud concepts; strong system design basics.
• Development tools: Git, Docker, automated testing, CI/CD.
• AI: Proficiency with Claude and Cursor; prompt engineering and AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities

• Participate in full software development lifecycle across web apps and data platforms.
• Develop front-end UI with React, Vue, or Angular; ensure responsive UX.
• Build back-end services and APIs using FastAPI, Spring Boot, or similar.
• Design and optimize SQL queries; model data for performance.
• Maintain and improve existing systems for stability and scalability.
• Collaborate with product and technical teams to translate requirements into solutions.
• Contribute to CI/CD, containerization, testing, and DevOps improvements.
• Support AI-assisted development workflows and tooling.
