Job summary

Societe Generale in Hong Kong is seeking a hands-on Tech Lead for front‑office risk and PnL applications within the Rates and FX trading tech team. You will own the design, implementation and rollout of risk engine enhancements and related services.

Lead and mentor the local team, collaborate with traders and quants, ensure scalable, observable, low‑latency delivery, and align with the global platform architecture and delivery roadmap.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing, developing and supporting mission-critical front-office applications in fixed income/global markets.
• Deep expertise in C#/.NET (core and .NET 6+), ASP.NET, performance/memory tuning.
• Strong fundamentals in OOP, SOLID, clean architecture and design patterns for large-scale systems.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or equivalent) and data analysis.
• Proven ownership of distributed, high-availability applications and incident resolution.
• Ability to lead end-to-end deliveries from requirements to production stability.
• Experience driving cross-functional delivery with traders, quants, developers, and global tech teams.
• Strong CI/CD, source control, release management, observability and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of risk engine enhancements for fixed income and FX business.
• Own end-to-end design, implementation and rollout from analysis to production release.
• Serve as technical reference for local team on architecture and code quality.
• Collaborate with traders, quants and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Coordinate with global tech teams to align with platform architecture and roadmap.
• Drive performance, reliability, monitoring and operational controls.
• Hands-on development in C#/.NET on critical risk engine components.
• Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis and permanent fixes.
• Ensure controlled production releases with testing and post-release monitoring.
• Mentor developers and promote engineering best practices across the platform.
• Participate in backlog prioritisation and delivery governance with the team and stakeholders.
• Foster ownership, technical excellence and continuous improvement.
