Job summary

Ambition is hiring a Front Office Python Developer for its Equity Derivatives desk. You will build trading tools, analytics and automation that directly support front-office decision-making, working closely with traders and quants.

You will develop Python-based trading and analytics applications, support market data, risk and P&L analytics, and drive automation and platform reliability in a fast-paced environment. This role offers high visibility and a direct impact on trading strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting front-office or trading applications.
• Exposure to Equity Derivatives, Delta One, Prime Finance, Securities Lending, Structured Products or Equities technology.
• Experience working directly with traders, quants or front-office users.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Bloomberg, Reuters or similar market data platforms.
• Automation, monitoring or SRE experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Python-based trading and analytics applications.
• Partner with traders and quants to deliver front-office solutions.
• Support market data, risk, P&L and quantitative analytics platforms.
• Drive automation, workflow optimisation and platform reliability.
• Troubleshoot production issues in a fast-paced trading environment.
