Job summary

Buddy is seeking a founding mobile engineer to own our app end to end. You’ll architect, build, and ship a cross‑platform Flutter app with a high‑fidelity UI and a scalable design system.

You’ll also own web frontend in TypeScript/React and backend APIs in Python/Node.js, with CI/CD, signing, and store submissions under your responsibility. You’ll collaborate with the founding team to shape product decisions, influence architecture, and contribute to a pet‑tech product in APAC from a remote

Qualifications

• Proven Flutter apps shipped to App Store and Google Play.
• Strong Dart fundamentals; working TypeScript and React knowledge.
• Attention to UI detail and design systems.
• Backend experience with Python or Node.js.
• Experience designing REST APIs with auth and data models.
• Hands-on mobile CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, Codemagic, Fastlane).
• Ability to make architectural decisions autonomously.
• Strong Git workflow discipline and English communication.
• Experience building a design system from scratch.
• BLE/connected device integration experience.
• Native iOS/Android alongside Flutter experience.
• AWS or GCP exposure; familiarity with product analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain the Buddy Flutter app for iOS and Android.
• Establish mobile codebase standards including architecture and state management.
• Implement UI from designs with a reusable design system across mobile and web.
• Build web frontend in TypeScript/React and integrate backend APIs.
• Own release pipeline: CI/CD, signing, store submissions, and testing tracks.
• Instrument analytics and user feedback to guide what to build next.
• Collaborate with the founding team on product decisions.
