Job summary

Haitong International Securities Group Limited seeks a seasoned fixed income credit researcher to focus on Asia IG and High Yield credits. You will deliver independent credit insights and trading recommendations to support portfolio construction and risk control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related.
• 3–6 years of relevant experience in fixed income credit research; Asia HY coverage is a strong plus.
• Expertise in offshore fixed income and Asia credit markets; capable of independent fundamental credit analysis.
• Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin; proficiency in Bloomberg, Reuters or similar tools is mandatory.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Job description

The ideal candidate will focus on fundamental credit analysis, investment opportunity screening and real-time risk monitoring for offshore fixed income assets, with a core focus on Asia IG and High Yield corporate credits. Acting as a key credit research pillar, you will deliver independent, in-depth credit insights and trading recommendations to support portfolio construction, risk control and consistent investment performance.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth research on fixed income securities (focus on Asia corporate credits, including IG and High Yield), identify high-potential opportunities with comprehensive assessments on credit, interest rate and liquidity risks.

Monitor market dynamics, industry cycles and issuer credit fundamentals; track real-time credit event updates and credit spread fluctuations. Deliver timely, forward-looking credit analysis reports and investment recommendations to portfolio managers and internal stakeholders.

Work closely with portfolio managers to construct and optimize fixed income portfolios aligned with investment, client, risk and regulatory guidelines.

Support internal investment discussions and occasional client-facing research presentations to assist team business development and client engagement.

Fulfil ad-hoc management assignments timely to support team operations.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related;

3-6 years of relevant experience in fixed income credit research; preferred in asset management firms, institutional investment teams or rating agencies; proven Asia HY corporate coverage experience is a strong plus.

Expertise in offshore fixed income and Asia credit markets; capable of independently conducting fundamental credit analysis, relative value judgement, and identifying investment opportunities and downside credit risks.

Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Fluent in spoken/written English and Mandarin; proficiency in Bloomberg, Reuters or similar financial tools is mandatory.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
