Job summary

The Lacoste Group is seeking a Financial Controller in Hong Kong to strengthen financial performance management, governance, and reporting across the APAC market. You will deliver robust analyses, support business decisions, and ensure data integrity through strong controls.

Responsibilities include monthly closings, budgeting, forecasting, and partnering with commercial teams to drive profitability, while advancing automation and standardization of reports across SAP/Hyperion ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial reporting and consolidation across markets.
• Strong analytical and modelling capabilities for P&L, capex, working capital.
• Familiarity with Hyperion, SAP or BusinessObjects for reporting.

• Lead budgets, forecasts, and medium-term planning with cross-functional inputs.

Job description

Purpose:

The Financial Controller is responsible forensuring robust financial performance management, financial governance, andaccurate reporting across the assigned market. The role provides financialinsights to support business decisions, ensures the integrity of financialinformation, and contributes to the achievement of business objectives throughstrong financial control and performance analysis.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1.Weekly & Monthly Reporting

• Ensure timelycompletion of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
  - Respect group andlocal deadlines at all times
• Ensure accuracy,completeness, and integrity of financial reporting.
  - Ensure compliancewith Group policies, accounting standards, and internal control requirements.
  - Ensure financial data are reliable (Hyperion / BusinessObjects / SAP)
• Prepare Clear,accurate management reports & presentations.
  - Financial analysesand performance reviews for management.
• Continuously improvereporting efficiency, quality, and automation.

2. Budgets/Forecasts/MTP

• Ensure the timely andaccurate delivery of budgeting, forecasting, and medium-term planningprocesses.
• Coordinate andconsolidate financial inputs from relevant departments and APAC Markets.
• Review and challengeassumptions to ensure the consistency and robustness of the overall financialmodel, including P&L, capital expenditure, and working capital.
• Ensure financialrisks are identified, monitored, and appropriately mitigated.
• Prepare accurate andinsightful analyses and management presentations.
• Support decision-making through financialmodelling and business performance analysis.
• Consolidate financialdata accurately and within required timelines in Hyperion and other reportingtools.
• Monitor financialperformance and analyze variances against budget, forecast, and prior periods.

3. Business Support

• Monitoring of thebusiness:
  - Monitor expenses& KPIs to ensure company targets are achieved
  - Partner with keybusiness functions to provide financial guidance and challenge.
  - Translate financialresults into clear business insights and recommendations.
• Support commercialand operational initiatives
  - Through financialanalysis and realize ad hoc analysis as required by the management
  - Through investmentbusiness plans (CARs) preparation and analysis before validation by themanagement
• Contribute toprofitability improvement, growth equation and cost optimization initiatives.

4. Process improvement

• Drive continuousimprovement of finance processes, systems, and reporting tools.
• Support financetransformation and automation initiatives.
  - Participate to SAPproject (global project) on APAC Market.
• Promote data quality,standardization, and operational efficiency.
