Job summary

MERIT ASSET MANAGEMENT LIMITED in Hong Kong seeks a senior finance professional to lead FRR and compliance reporting for HK licensed entities, oversee consolidation, tax and cross-border finance between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

You will manage annual audits, ensure HKFRS and CAS compliance, and coordinate budgeting, analysis, and internal controls across Mainland China and Hong Kong with strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
• Minimum 6 years of financial experience with dual Mainland China and Hong Kong finance/audit background.
• CPA certificate required; dual HKICPA/ACCA preferred.
• Hands-on FRR calculation and SFC reporting experience for Hong Kong licensed institutions.
• Proficiency in applying CAS and HKFRS to financial reports.
• Audit-minded with experience handling tax auditors in Mainland and HK.
• Proficient in Excel financial modeling and AI software applications.
• Fluent in English (reading & writing).
• Strong compliance, resilience, and cross-department collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead FRR calculation and SFC regulatory reporting for HK entities.
• Prepare HKFRS financial statements and ensure CAS alignment for Mainland China entities.
• Coordinate annual audits and interim reviews, manage audit adjustments.
• Oversee full-set accounting for Shenzhen entity under CAS.
• Lead Mainland China tax filings, annual settlements, and planning.
• Manage treasury activities, cross-border RMB/fx settlements, and SAFE filings.
• Drive group consolidation and reconcile CAS vs HKFRS differences.
• Strengthen internal control in line with Basic Standard for Enterprise Internal Control.
