Job summary

Crypto.com is seeking a seasoned accounting professional in Hong Kong to support financial controls, policy updates, and technical accounting matters. You will research regulatory changes, analyze impacts on financials, and advise on internal controls for evolving requirements.

The role demands strong Excel modeling, attention to detail, and excellent communication as part of a dynamic, hybrid team. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business required; CPA preferred.
• At least 5 years of professional accounting experience; audit background advantageous.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial analysis.
• Proficient in advanced Excel and financial modeling; knowledge of financial instrument valuation a plus.
• Excellent analytical, project management, presentation and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

The F&A team comprises multiple functions from Financials Control & Business Performance Management, Procurement, Digital Transformation, Tax, Treasury and Operations. Together, the team optimizes our global finance initiatives and enjoys being detailed-oriented while multitasking across various exciting project scopes

Responsibilities

• Conducting in-depth research on critical accounting issues, market trends, and regulatory updates and performing financial, cash flow and income statement analyses to assess the impact of new accounting standards or regulations.
• Provide guidance on business processes and internal controls related to accounting and regulatory changes.
• Providing technical support to the finance team in relation to complex accounting issues.
• Revise and maintain the group’s accounting policies to align with the latest accounting standards.
• Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, facilitating effective communication on accounting topics.
• Undertake additional tasks assigned to support business needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business required; advanced degrees or CPA certification preferred.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in accounting/technical accounting; prior audit experience is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP
• Proficient in advanced Excel and financial modeling; experience with financial instrument valuation is a plus.
• Exceptional analytical, project management, presentation, and communication skills.
• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
