Job summary

Sun Life invites a high-potential Finance Intern to join our Financial Reporting team, gaining hands-on exposure to real-world finance, accounting and business operations. You will work with auditors, actuarial partners, management, and regional stakeholders to learn how finance supports the business.

As an intern, you will support month-end and quarter-end reporting, analyze financial data with Excel and AI-enabled tools, and participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Data, or a related discipline.
• Strong academic performance.
• Available for a full-time internship from January to June 2027.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and quarter-end financial reporting activities, including reconciliations, reviews, and close processes.
• Analyze financial and operational data using Excel, AI-enabled tools, and other technologies to generate insights and support decision-making.
• Participate in process improvement, automation, and digital transformation initiatives to enhance efficiency and reporting quality.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Finance and other business areas on projects, problem-solving, and day-to-day operations.
• Support ad hoc analysis, presentations, and special projects as assigned.
