Job summary

GRAW Met Systems (HK) Limited in Hong Kong seeks an Engineering Assistant to support site instrument operation, maintenance and on-site data analysis. You will gain hands-on exposure to cutting-edge technology at live sites as part of project delivery and service.

The role requires outdoor fieldwork, a STEM degree or higher diploma, and the ability to work with a team or independently. Cantonese or Mandarin and English communication are valued; driving license optional.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above in STEM disciplines.
• Higher Diploma or above for Assistant Engineer position.
• Minimum 2 years working experience and outdoor site work experience.
• Able to conduct fieldwork independently under on-site conditions.
• Good interpersonal communications and written/spoken English and/or Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain site instruments and perform routine tasks.
• Provide site engineering support independently or with the technical team.
• Respond to clients' technical requests, troubleshooting and data analysis as applicable.
• Support project coordination including administration, logistics, and delivery.
• Perform on-site work with a flexible timetable.

Job description

Engineers are generally responsible for site instrument operation, maintenance, and ad‑hoc engineering support. As our engineer, you will get first‑hand exposure to the most cutting‑edge technology not only in the training room but also live at the sites as part of our project delivery and service, which makes your role extremely important for our success and ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for instrument site operation and routine maintenance (Hands‑on outdoor work is required)

Able to work independently or work with our technical team to provide site engineering support

Follow up on clients’ requests on technical aspects(trouble shooting or data analysis pending on applicant’s expertise and experience)

Support project coordination, e.g. administration, logistics, delivery and etc.

On‑site working(flexible working timetable)

Requirements:

Bachelor Degree or above in atmospheric science, earth science, optical physics, electric, instrumentation, engineering, or related science and engineering (STEM) disciplines (and/or Higher Diploma or above for Assistant Engineer position)

Minimum 2-year working experience and is used to outdoor site working

Able to conduct fieldwork independently after completing on‑the‑job training, able to work outdoors on‑site under direct sunlight with no shelter

Responsible, responsive, independent, well‑organized, and with good interpersonal communications skills

Good computer skills, with Python and MATLAB experience preferred.

Cantonese or mandarin speaker is highly preferred with good command of written and spoken English and/or Chinese.

Holder of HK driving license (optional)

Less experienced candidate will be considered as Assistant Engineer

Fresh graduates in related disciplines are welcome; qualified candidate will be considered as Assistant Engineer
