Job summary

Be Myjob Company Limited seeks an experienced IT professional to bridge FICC stakeholders and the development team in Hong Kong. You will translate business needs into technology solutions and oversee requirements gathering, gap analysis, and design reviews.

Your role includes evaluating new technologies and supporting delivery with accurate estimates, risk visibility, and disciplined release practices. You will work with Java 8+ and Python 3, using Spring/Vert.x and testing best practices, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or IT-related discipline.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience; knowledge of FICC asset classes is an advantage.
• Development experience with Java 8 (or later) and Python 3.
• Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring and/or Vert.x.
• Working knowledge of unit testing frameworks and testing best practices.
• Experience integrating financial market data APIs (e.g., Bloomberg Reuters).
• Good to have: Python and other scripting languages.
• Familiarity with Agile development artifacts and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a liaison between FICC stakeholders and IT, translating business needs into technology solutions.
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Perform gap analyses between current and future state processes and tech solutions.
• Collaborate with development managers and cross-functional teams to design, review, and validate solutions.
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies to support delivery and continuous improvement.
• Support project managers with reliable estimates and risk visibility, escalate delays early.
• Follow standards for version control, CI, and release management.
• Maintain records and documentation including design documents and user guides.
• Ensure software deliverables are covered by unit tests and tested before QA/UAT.
• Coordinate with production support on release activities and post-release follow-up.
