Job summary

JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. is seeking an Executive Director, Government Relations to shape regional policy strategies across Asia Pacific. You will monitor regulatory developments, advise senior leaders on geopolitical risk, and coordinate messaging with governments, regulators, and multilateral bodies.

The role requires extensive cross-cultural leadership, executive briefing abilities, and willingness to travel regionally and internationally to advance strategic priorities.

Qualifications

• 15 years of professional experience in government, public policy, or external-facing roles within multinational organizations, including financial services.
• Demonstrated Asia Pacific market experience across multiple jurisdictions.
• Working knowledge of the Washington, DC political environment and policy-making process.
• Proven ability to build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships across public and private sectors.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing diverse, cross-cultural teams.
• Experience setting strategy, defining priorities, and executing multi-workstream plans with measurable outcomes.
• Strong geopolitical and regulatory analytical skills, sound judgment, and ability to operate in ambiguity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including executive-ready briefing capability.

Responsibilities

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

15 years of professional experience in government, public policy, government relations, trade associations, diplomacy, or external-facing roles within multinational organizations (including financial services)

Demonstrated Asia Pacific market experience, with an understanding of policy-making processes and government relations practices across multiple jurisdictions

Working knowledge of the Washington, DC political environment and policy-making process

Proven ability to build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships across the public and private sectors

Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing diverse, cross-cultural teams

Experience setting strategy, defining priorities, and executing multi-workstream plans with measurable outcomes

Strong geopolitical and regulatory analytical skills, sound judgment, and ability to operate effectively in ambiguity

Experience advising C-suite or equivalent senior executives on policy engagement strategy and risk decisions

Experience engaging with multilateral bodies or regional policy fora (e.g., financial regulation, trade, sustainability, technology policy)

Demonstrated track record of shaping policy outcomes through coalition-building and constructive advocacy

Familiarity with financial sector policy topics and regulatory frameworks in key Asia Pacific markets

Experience developing thought leadership content (speeches, articles, position papers) for external audiences

Relevant professional qualifications from reputable training institutes or professional bodies
