Job summary

Nomura in Hong Kong is seeking an Executive Director, Funds Specialist to lead the funds and alternative investments coverage for high-net-worth clients. You will drive strategy across traditional funds, hedge funds, ETFs, and private markets, delivering sophisticated investment solutions and portfolio guidance.

The role requires deep product expertise, strong client engagement, and leadership across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced wealth-management environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in business or finance from an accredited university.
• Demonstrated leadership and client advisory experience in wealth management.
• Strong communication skills in English and Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese).
• Familiarity with Excel-based financial modelling and Bloomberg terminal tools.
• CFA or CAIA designation strongly preferred and relevant regulatory licenses in HK.

Responsibilities

• Lead the funds and alternative investments business across all major asset classes.
• Provide comprehensive fund coverage, due diligence, and regulatory compliance.
• Deliver sophisticated asset allocation guidance to high-net-worth clients.
• Partner with investment advisors to drive product adoption and market strategy.
• Oversee marketing materials, commentary, and client analytics.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership to align fund strategies.
