Job summary

Threshold Housing Society is seeking a Youth Housing Support worker to act as the primary daytime contact for youth involved with MCFD. The role focuses on housing stability, stress management, and goal setting within a holistic, wraparound care framework.

You will work in a team to address mental health, life skills, and community supports, ensuring a safe, supportive housing environment. A relevant bachelor's degree and experience with vulnerable youth are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Social Work or Child & Youth Care.
• Minimum of 1–2 years' experience with vulnerable populations/youth.
• ASIST and NVCI training are assets.
• Experience facilitating programming is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary day contact for youth in housing.
• Support youth in housing settings to settle, manage stress, and address crises.
• Provide holistic support around mental health, life skills, community supports, and housing.
• Collaborate with a wraparound care team to meet individual goals.
