Job summary

Hong Kong Housing Society is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to solve technical problems and manage urgent repairs for designated estates. You will prepare budgets, drawings, specifications and tender documents for senior approval, and administer tendering and contract processes.

You will provide technical guidance, supervise on-site works, inspect estates, liaise with consultants and government departments, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher diploma in Building or Construction is required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in construction or building maintenance.
• Thorough knowledge of regulations and best practices in maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Solve technical problems and handle urgent repairs for designated estates.
• Prepare budgets, estimates, drawings, specifications and tender documents for maintenance.
• Administer tendering and contract processes, issue works orders.
• Provide technical advice, supervise on-site works and certify completion.
• Inspect estates, roads, grounds and underground services; report defects.
• Comment design drawings and liaise with Consultants and government bodies.
• Mentor junior staff and attend meetings with tenants/owners.
