Job summary

EY Hong Kong is seeking an experienced ESG / Sustainability professional to join the Financial Services Risk Management team. You will lead projects, delivering insights on sustainable finance, ESG data, and regulatory practices for capital markets and asset management.

The role involves liaising with regulators, building business opportunities, and collaborating with EY colleagues worldwide to drive risk management and governance improvements.

Qualifications

• University degree in sustainability, climate risk, accounting, information systems, data, business or legal related subjects.
• 3+ years of ESG / Sustainability experience, preferably in financial services with regulatory exposure.
• Robust internal controls, regulatory compliance and risk governance knowledge.
• Familiarity with HKMA/SFC regulations; regional experience is a plus.
• Excellent written/spoken English; bilingual skills are a plus.
• Ability to interact with executives, regulators and EY management.
• Strong report-writing and presentation skills.
• Industry certifications such as FRM, CPA/CA, CFA, GARP SCR are a plus.
• Sustainability certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development and EY projects related to ESG and Climate Risk.
• Address HKMA, SFC regulatory expectations for ESG and Climate Risk.
• Advise on structuring client organization models for ESG / climate risk.
• Understand ESG technology and data solution needs, incl. regtech/fintech.
• Regulatory change management and regulator communications.
• Policy development in Hong Kong aligned with guidelines.
• Collaborate with EY climate risk professionals globally.
