Job summary

Barclays in Hong Kong is seeking an Assistant Vice President for the Prime Middle Office in Equity Financing. You will support Trade and Working Capital processing, review and resolve issues, and help ensure robust controls across the desk. You will monitor activity, develop policies and procedures, mentor junior staff, and work with Trading/Sales to manage risk and improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of Equity Financing products, including SBL and secured funding.
• 5–7 years of experience in prime service middle office operations, preferably in SBL or financing.
• Strong knowledge of Asia markets in a post-trade capacity (China and Korea).

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day Trade and Working Capital processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution.
• Monitor Trade and Working Capital operations for efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with bank teams to align Trade and Working Capital processes.
• Identify areas for improvement and recommend process changes.
• Develop and implement Trade and Working Capital procedures and controls.
• Develop reports and presentations on performance for senior stakeholders.
• Identify industry trends to implement best practices.
• Participate in projects to improve Trade and Working Capital efficiency.
