Job summary

Leadingnation seeks an experienced engineering leader based at our Dongguan manufacturing facility to own the technical department and drive operational efficiency. You will partner with project and manufacturing engineering teams, proactively addressing bottlenecks and aligning with Hong Kong HQ and international sales offices.

You will mentor Manufacturing Engineers, standardise processes, and apply lean and automation to improve quality and productivity while meeting production deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive manufacturing experience; furniture/woodworking preferred.
• Proven track record of modernizing traditional corporate and factory administrative structures.
• Familiar with Mainland China manufacturing compliance and cross-border nuances.
• Strong ability to diagnose administrative gaps, structure clear engineering choices, and work collaboratively with executives.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Results-oriented, independent and proactive; detail-oriented.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Pro/ENGINEER and Lean Six Sigma/ SPC.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and technical direction to the engineering team across project and manufacturing engineering.
• Evaluate technical briefs with project and sales teams to present practical fabrication choices.
• Manage engineering portfolio to align with timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Lead, mentor and develop Manufacturing Engineers and promote continuous improvement.
• Standardise best practices in new product development, manufacturing processes, quality control and documentation.
• Evaluate workflows and implement lean manufacturing and automation to enhance capabilities.
• Conduct root cause analysis for deviations and implement CAPA.
• Collaborate with R&D, Production, QA and Hong Kong teams to ensure smooth launches.
• Drive adoption of advanced engineering methods and technology upgrades to reduce costs.
• Brief factory leadership on findings and secure executive alignment for updates.
