Job summary

The Hongkong Electric Co., Ltd. on Lamma Island seeks an engineer to lead maintenance planning and outage coordination for generating units.

You will collect and analyse data to evaluate performance and support IT initiatives for plant operations. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, at least 2 years of operation or maintenance experience, and English/Chinese language proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in operation or plant maintenance.
• Knowledge of computer applications in asset management is an advantage.
• Good command of English and Chinese languages, both spoken and written.

Reporting to the Chief Manager (Administration & Planning), the appointee will mainly perform the following responsibilities:

• To produce maintenance plans and arrange for outages and maintenance of generating units and associated plant equipment
• To assist in collecting, analysing and presenting data for performance evaluation of the maintenance and operation of generating units
• To support the development of IT applications and re-engineering initiatives
• To maintain the validity of statutory licenses and permits

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related disciplines
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in operation or plant maintenance
• Knowledge of computer applications in asset management an advantage
• Good command of English and Chinese languages, both spoken and written

Working Location :

Lamma Island, transportation to be provided.
