Job summary

NTML Group Limited in Hong Kong is seeking a Production Engineer to collaborate with factory production engineers to manage the execution and production run of packaging and POS tools for NTML Group as well as for our OEM customer base. We are looking for a candidate who is creative and technically savvy, with strong problem-solving skills and hands-on tooling development experience.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma or above in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering; degree preferred.
• At least five years of relevant experience in a similar role; cosmetics packaging preferred.
• Knowledge of measurement techniques and interpretation of engineering drawings.
• Experience with molding and coating manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Test concepts with selected production partners.
• Assess mass production ability for customer-derived innovations.
• Support new product launches to ensure supplier quality and tooling sufficiency.
• Ensure supplier processes are robust to meet product and process requirements and scale up.
• Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier quality issues.
• Perform on-site during-production and final inspections as needed.
• Interpret supplier TDs and 3D files for production readiness.

Job description

NTML Group is currently looking for a Production Engineer to join our rapidly growing HK based team. The role will be focused on working with factory production engineers to manage the execution and production run of packaging and POS tools for NTML Group as well as for our OEM customer base.

We are looking for a creative as well as technically savvy who is experienced in problem solving and execution of new tooling.

Role:

Testing concepts with selected production partners

For customer derived innovation - assessing ability to mass produce and helping with any modifications required

Supporting new product launches to ensure that supplier quality meets the required standards and has enough tooling for production

Ensuring that the supplier's process systems are robust enough to meet product and process requirements and scale up production

Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions of supplier quality issues

Perform on-site during-production inspection and final inspection from time to time

Interpretation/preparation and critical analysis of any supplier provided TD's and 3D files.

Requirements:

Higher Diploma or above in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering, Degree level preferred

At least five years of relevant work experience in a similar role, cosmetics packaging preferred

Knowledge of measurement techniques andinterpretation of engineering drawings

Good understanding manufacturing processes such as moulding and coating

English and Putonghua

Willing and able to travel in China, Korea and Taiwan

Organised, detail oriented and able to multi-task

Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, 3D Max and AutoCAD, Solid Works
