Job summary

Asia Progress Executive Limited seeks a skilled Fixed Income (Repo) Trader to execute securities trades for portfolios with discipline and cost efficiency. You will work closely with the investment team to implement strategies, manage counterparty relationships, and improve trading processes in a fast-paced market.

The role requires 3–5 years of trading execution experience in asset management or buy-side institutions, with strong knowledge of REPO markets and compliance obligations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of trading execution experience in asset management, mutual funds, or buy-side institutions with REPO experience.
• Familiarity with securities market rules, order types, and mainstream trading systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute trades across fixed income, equities, funds, derivatives, REPO, and other securities per PM instructions.
• Monitor liquidity, price movements, and opportunities to provide real-time execution insights.
• Manage end-to-end trading process: price inquiry, negotiation, trade confirmation, settlement tracking, and recordkeeping.
• Maintain and expand relationships with brokers, banks, trading platforms, and counterparties to optimize execution terms.
• Adhere to risk controls and compliance policies for all trading activities.
• Assist in transaction cost analysis (TCA), execution algorithm evaluation, and improvement of trading systems.
• Prepare trading-related reports and coordinate with risk, operations, and investment teams.
