Job summary

King & Wood in Hong Kong seeks an Associate for its Dispute Resolution team to handle disputes and advisory work across construction, infrastructure, commercial matters, banking, insolvency, competition and employment.

The successful candidate will work with partners and juniors, build a portfolio of contentious matters, and provide robust strategic advice to clients in a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years PQE in construction/commercial litigation and arbitration.
• Strong technical excellence with experience in leading a diverse portfolio of contentious matters.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written) with proficiency in Mandarin/Cantonese and written Chinese.
• Ability to provide robust, strategic legal advice to clients in contentious matters.

About the job Dispute Resolution - Associate

Position Summary

Our team handles disputes and advisory work in relation to construction and infrastructure projects, commercial matters, banking and finance, insolvency, competition and employment. Our clients include major contractors, developers, infrastructure owners, public bodies, leading banks and financial institutions, listed companies and private enterprises. We handle mediation, arbitration, litigation and other forms of ADR.

Qualifications & Knowledge

You will have:

• 2-4 years PQE, with relevant construction / commercial litigation and arbitration experience preferably gained in international law firm;
• Strong technical excellence and experience in leading and managing a diverse portfolio of contentious matters;
• fluency in English (verbal and written) with proficiency in spoken Mandarin / Cantonese and written Chinese;
• the ability to act proactively and provide robust, strategic legal advice to clients to ensure that their needs and objectives in contentious matters are met efficiently and professionally
