Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or above in a relevant field.
Experience in digital/mobile banking projects and large-scale programs.
Strong understanding of retail banking, wealth solutions, and customer journeys.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the SME mobile capabilities roadmap aligned with WRB strategy.
Champion a mobile-first approach to customer journeys, product distribution and service delivery.
Identify and integrate emerging technologies, including AI, for innovation.
Maintain HKMA reporting for Open Banking & IADS initiatives.
Collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, Cybersecurity and Operations for secure platforms.
Oversee agile delivery across multiple tabs of the SC Mobile App.
Ensure compliance with HKMA and other regulatory requirements; governance with risk and legal teams.
Drive cross-functional alignment across Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Treasury, and Retail Product teams.
Present business cases and strategic updates to senior management and exec committees.

Job Description

We are seeking a high calibre Director, SME Mobile & New Initiatives to lead and drive the development and commercialization of our SME SC Mobile banking App within the Wealth & Retail Banking SME business segment. In addition, this role will also taking ownership of relevant Open Banking API portfolio including IADS (Interbank Account Data Sharing) initiatives within HK WRB.

This role will be responsible for building a best-in-class mobile banking experience for SME banking across multiple products and client segments. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in digital banking, mobile apps, project management with a strong track record of execution, and the ability to navigate regulatory, risk, and operational complexity in a highly regulated banking environment.

Key Responsibilities: SME Mobile Banking Strategy & Vision

Define and execute the SME mobile capabilities roadmap aligned with the WRB strategy
Champion a mobile-first approach to customer journeys, product distribution and service delivery.
Identify and integrate the use of emerging technologies, including (Generative) AI to create innovation and market-first proposition.

Open Banking & IADS initiatives and other ad hoc Fintech initiatives engagement

Maintain and collaborate with internal stakeholders and industry banking ecosystem to continue ensuring running of respective Open Banking API and IADS capabilities in the retail banking space.
Maintain regular HKMA reporting in relations to Open Banking & IADS.
Maintain the JIRA for trouble shooting and enquiries from other banks in IADS.
Handle other ad hoc Fintech initiatives engagement as required by Line Manager.

Technology and Delivery

Collaborate closely with Engineering, Architecture, Cybersecurity and Operations team to ensure secure, compliant and resilient mobile platforms
Oversee agile delivery across multiple tabs of the SC Mobile App, ensuring quality, speed and superior customer experience

Regulatory & risk management

Ensure full compliance with HKMA, and other applicable regulatory requirements related to TME1 and TMG1, etc.
Work closely with Compliance, Legal, Risk, and AML teams to establish robust governance frameworks.
Develop policies covering custody, transaction monitoring, market risk, operational risk, and cyber security in digital asset operations.
Act as senior liaison with regulators on digital asset initiatives.

Stakeholder management

With track record as a strong individual contributor whilst demonstrating leadership potential to drive a high-performing digital asset team.
Drive cross-functional alignment across Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Treasury, and Retail Product teams.
Present business cases and strategic updates to senior management and executive committees.
