Job summary

Connexe Search is partnering with a leading Private Bank in Hong Kong to recruit an experienced Operational Risk professional. You will enhance the risk framework and ensure alignment with regulatory demands across wealth management, trading platforms, and NPAP governance.

The role requires 10+ years in Private Banking or Wealth Management with senior risk exposure, HKMA knowledge, and strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Private Banking or Wealth Management with senior exposure to operational risk, internal control, or audit.
• Deep knowledge of HKMA supervisory expectations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership and proactive problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver independent risk assessment across wealth management products and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the operational risk framework aligned with to guarantee strict alignment between group standards and regulatory demands.
• Work closely with to senior front-office heads, delivering independent risk assessment across wealth management products, trading platforms, and NPAP governance.
• Lead field-level control assessments and post-incident reviews to pinpoint operational weaknesses and track corrective actions through to completion
• Represent the risk function to governance committees and regulatory bodies.

Candidate Requirements

• University degree holder in Law, Accounting, Finance or related disciplines
• 10+ years in Private Banking or Wealth Management with substantial senior exposure to operational risk, internal control, or audit.
• Deep knowledge of HKMA supervisory expectations
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated leadership skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
