Job summary

Local Insurance Group in Hong Kong seeks a Director of Agency to drive agency distribution and recruitment targets in a fast-paced insurance setting. You will supervise a team, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize agency contracts and compensation processes.

The role requires over 10 years in insurance with at least 3 years in agency development management, and strong leadership, planning, and communication skills in English and Cantonese. Putonghua is an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Economics & Finance, Marketing or related disciplines.
• Over 10 years relevant working experience in insurance with knowledge in sales contracting, including at least 3 years in a managerial agency development role.
• Familiar with IA guidelines and license registration process.
• Thorough understanding of agent recruitment packages and income structures.
• Excellent planning and interpersonal & communication skills.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Cantonese; Putonghua is an advantage.
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Senior Manager.

Responsibilities

• Manage the designed Districts to drive insurance business and recruitment targets.
• Supervise and coach the team to review and perform due diligence for agent applications by complying with company and regulatory policies and/or guidelines.
• Monitor the registration process with proper and effective control.
• Act as the company representative to communicate with the IA and MPFA for daily operations.
• Enhance the recruitment process/system and internal operating procedures for improvement of efficiency and effectiveness of daily operations.
• Assist Team Head to monitor the recruitment budget and cost for sales channels.
• Prepare, review and update all contracts and agreements of sales channels.
• Work with Compliance / Legal / Internal Audit to establish governance and control mechanisms.
• Facilitate processing of the agency compensation systems.
