Job summary

Hip Hing Construction Co Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking a backend-focused Digital Engineer to conduct R&D in construction digitalization, define requirements for the Hip Hing Centralized Management Platform (HHCMP), and perform system integration with HHCMP, IoT and databases.

You will maintain and troubleshoot the HHCMP, automate workflows with scheduled tasks, interface with 3rd-party APIs, and develop micro-services to connect databases and applications, while keeping pace with new backend

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma or above in CS/Eng or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, version control, testing methodologies, and agile practices.
• Solid knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in English and Chinese (written and spoken).
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases is a plus.
• Familiar with APIs and web services like RESTful, MQTT, Thingsboard, Node-RED, AirFlow.
• Knowledge of BIM/GIS beneficial for projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct R&D in Construction Digitalization and define requirements for HHCMP.
• Perform system integration with HHCMP, IoT and databases.
• Maintain and troubleshoot the HHCMP system.
• Ensure efficient workflow automation with scheduled tasks.
• Study and interface third-party APIs to HHCMP.
• Develop micro-services to connect databases and other applications.
• Stay up-to-date with backend technologies and incorporate them into development.
