Job summary

APJ Software (HK) Company Limited in Hong Kong seeks a seasoned DevOps Engineer to design and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud and on-prem DevOps environments, and build reliable, secure systems that scale.

You will collaborate with development teams, mentor others, and drive reliability through automation, monitoring, and incident response, leveraging Terraform, Kubernetes, and modern cloud services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on DevOps experience in designing, managing, and optimizing complex multi-tier architectures; scripting; source code version control; configuration management; continuous build, integration, and deployment; system administration; containerization; cloud orchestration; monitoring; and security.
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools, Gitlab CI, ArgoCD, IaC, Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes and Docker.
• Hands-on expertise with major cloud providers (AWS/Alibaba/Azure) in networking (VPC/VPN), computing (EKS/MKS/RDS/EC2/Lambda) and security (WAF).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go, Ansible).
• Experience mentoring engineers and collaborating in product-focused, Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Manage cloud and on-prem DevOps infrastructure with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Implement and optimize container orchestration with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
• Monitor performance, reliability, and security; set up alerts and incident response workflows.
• Lead root cause analysis for production incidents and drive reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve deployment velocity and reduce downtime.
• Mentor and coach other engineers on DevOps best practices.

Job Summary: As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll be responsible infrastructure automation, CICD pipeline and cloud/hybrid architecture to ensure our platforms run seamlessly at scale. To drive best paretics, security standard, and collaborate with development teams to optimize deployment processes and system reliability. You’ll use the latest lean and agile thinking to solve tough problems and play an important role in driving our digital projects to success.

You will be involving…

Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

Manage cloud infrastructure and on perm DevOps environment with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

Implement and optimize container orchestration with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm for microservices deployments.

Monitor system performance, reliability, security using Prometheus, Grafana, Prisma or APM tools; set up alerting and incident response workflows.

Lead root cause analysis for production incidents and implement proactive reliability engineering.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance deployment velocity and reduce downtime.

Engineer and maintain a self-service application delivery environment for developers through automation, virtualization, and process improvement.

Act as a bridge between operations and development teams.

Support knowledge transfer by mentoring others.

We are looking for…

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or technical field related.

Minimum 5 years of hands-on DevOps Engineer experience in the following areas: designing, managing, and optimizing complex multi-tier architectures; scripting; source code version control; configuration management; continuous build, integration, and deployment; system administration; containerization; cloud orchestration; monitoring; and security.

Strong experience with CI/CD tools, Gitlab CI, ArgoCD, IaC, terraform, helm, Kubernetes and docker.

Hands-on expertise major cloud provider (AWS/Alibaba/Azure) in networking (VPC/VPN), computing (EKS/MKS/RDS/EC2/Lambda) and security (WAF) area.

Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go, Ansible).

Conduct code reviews, penetration testing coordination, and risk assessments to mitigate vulnerabilities proactively.

Experience working in a product-oriented, team-based environment that uses modern digital delivery approaches such as user experience design, lean, agile, DevOps, and cloud computing.

Good to have experience for Mobile application and Web service development.

Experience serving as a coach and mentor to other engineers will be an advantage.
