Job summary

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) in Hong Kong seeks a highly motivated Exchange Trading Platform system engineer to support daily cycles and implement the next generation Derivatives Trading platform. You will collaborate with IT professionals to build a robust, scalable platform from design to deployment.

The role requires at least 3 years of system development or client support on mission-critical platforms, a related degree, and familiarity with trading domain and market

Qualifications

• 3+ years of system development or client support experience on mission-critical platforms.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Background in financial services/telecom or regulated organizations with platform development/transformation is a plus.
• Knowledge in trading platform, market practices and/or derivatives is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate system language into business terminology in English and Chinese Cantonese and Mandarin is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor overall system health and KPIs.
• Analyze impact of functional/operational changes.
• Prepare documentation for stakeholders in change management.
• Create/review test plans, conditions, and cases for system acceptance.
• Execute tests and investigate issues within tight schedules.
• Coordinate with cross-functional testing teams for end-to-end readiness.
• Assist in investigation and resolution of conflicts.
• Collaborate with IT teams and users to ensure project success.
• Undertake assignments and projects as directed.
