Job summary

Cornerstone Global Partners (CGP Group) in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced legal professional to structure and document securities and structured product transactions, and to provide day-to-day support to trading and distribution desks.

The role requires strong post-qualification experience, a recognised law degree with qualification in HK/UK/US, and hands-on knowledge of SFO, Companies Ordinance, SFC licensing, ISDA documentation and HKEX rules, with experience in derivatives and structured

Qualifications

5+ years’ post-qualification experience in international law firm or financial institution.
Qualified lawyer with practising certificate in HK/UK/US.
Experience in private wealth/private banking, brokerage, distribution or investment banking.
Strong knowledge of the SFO, Companies Ordinance, SFC licensing regime, ISDA documentation and HKEX rules.
Hands-on derivatives and structured products experience.

Responsibilities

Structure and document securities and structured product transactions and provide day-to-day legal support to the trading and distribution desks.
Draft, review and negotiate transaction documents and client agreements with senior members of the legal team.
Advise on regulatory and documentation issues arising from the secondary markets and private wealth platform.
Support other legal matters as assigned within the team.
